Today was the grand reopening ceremony for our newly refurbished mobile building on the site of Christ the Redeemer Chapel in Lagmore. This is an exciting day, and the culmination of a number of years of planning, discussion, problem solving, vision and hard work by many individuals that has gone in to making this come about. A massive thank you to the Down and Connor Diocese who have funded the refurbishment project and have given this building a complete new lease of life! As you can see from the photos the building has been given a complete face-lift, both inside and out, with comprehensive refit of floors, walls, toilet blocks, office and parent facilitation room and our children's programme room which is home to our 2 groups - DP423YO and Play2Learn. As well as these two children's groups, the building will now also be able to accomodate a range of other Sure Start services including Baby Massage, Parent Support Programmes, Sensory Play Programmes, Grandparents Groups and much more. A big thank you to Mark Patterson without whom this project would have never become a reality, Jonathan Morrison and Tim and the team from Wheatcross Construction and Father Colin from the Lagmore parish who all played a vital role in bringing the vision together.
